We went to Montana for Fall Break. We had an incredible time. Montana is gorgeous. Alex's cousin Claire, and her husband Todd, have rental cabins in Eureka:
http://www.gravecreekcabins.com/ They are so cute. We also enjoyed time with his other cousin Ian, and his wife Nicole. They came down from Calgary. We LOVED visiting with them.
Aside from the drive, we decided to go technology free during the weekend. Logan became quite the zealot. He couldn't stop reading the illustrated Book of Mormon stories. While he read, Braden was in the basement listening to the Book of Mormon stories on tape (I guess that's technically a form of technology, but how do you put a stop to that?) I guess we're just a spiritual family.

Adorable. Alex and I were lucky enough to sleep here while the kids slept in the main house. We owe Claire... big time!

Mo lost a tooth while we were in Montana. It just came out when Alex grabbed it and ripped it from her gums. The tooth fairy in Montana is apparently very generous (it's also hard to get change up there when everything... the one store... is closed!). Morgan woke up at 6:00 AM to see her prize from the tooth fairy. Todd was the only one awake, and was lucky enough to hear Morgan's plans for the money. This conversation took the better part of an hour and a half. Thanks Todd!
As luck would have it, Todd got to reach in Sophie's mouth and rip a tooth from her gums. These girls were pretty excited.
Todd broke out a trivia book, and everybody gave their best answers. Claire dozed off for a while. Apparently there aren't many pictures of Claire sleeping. ;)
We had a campfire on their property. Hot dogs and
s'mores. So much fun.

These kids had an absolute blast together.
There couldn't be a sweeter baby than Gray. He was so mellow. All the kids took turns holding him, and playing with him. He was in a great mood the whole time.
Avery is so adorable. She and Braden managed this picture on their own.

On a hike, Eden and Alex were impressed by the roots of a fallen tree. 
The kids loved the hikes. There were trails and lakes all around Todd and Claire's place. We never drove more than 5 minutes to get to our destinations. It was really spectacular.
The weather wasn't the warmest for our picnic by the lake, so we ate in the cars. A little wind and rain wasn't about to stop us.
Amira dove right into a book that Claire let her borrow. Sitting in front of this little electric heater was the preferred spot for all the girls.
For hours (literally) one morning, the kids played restaurant. We all really had such a good time, and can't wait to see everybody again.

Great pictures! It looks like you guys had a nice time. Montana sure is beautiful this time of year.
